Ms. Stovall has practiced as a mediator in Maryland since 1988. A former successful trial attorney for ten years, she has been a partner in three small businesses. She now combines work as a mediator, instructor, advocate and consultant working with businesses, government agencies, educational institutions and individuals. Presently a trainer for Mediation Matters, a national training and consulting organization, she has also been a guest lecturer at American University Law School, the Graduate Program at University of Maryland, and an Instructor for both the State of Maryland Continuing Legal Education Institute and Montgomery County Bar Foundation C.L.E. She has been on the Board of the Family and Juvenile Law Section for the Maryland State Bar Association. She has testified on numerous occasions before the State legislature representing the State Bar on family-related legislation and Montgomery County's Local Management Board on public/private collaboration. She has served in the following roles:

• Mediator, BMC Associates, 1996-present.



• Co-chair, Montgomery County Collaboration Council, a state mandated entity setting policy for pooled funding from state legislature for health and human services, 1995-present.



• Partner, Crockett & Stovall, Rockville, MD, 1992-1995.



• Director, Domestic relations Department in the Law Firm of Goldstein & Baron, Chtd., College Park, Maryland, 1986-1992.



• Managing Partner in the Law Firm of Harper, Connette & Stovall, Charlotte, N.C., 1984-1986.
