In addition to mediating business issues since 1997, Scott Meza has a general corporate practice, which focuses on representing emerging and established private and public companies, principally in the mid-Atlantic region. Many of his legal clients are in the information technology, healthcare and biotech industries. Scott routinely acts in a general counsel capacity in advising boards of directors and senior management on strategic business and legal issues, including financings, acquisitions, corporate structure, strategic partnering transactions and employment matters. He has extensive experience in handling complex corporate financings, including private placements, private equity and venture capital financings, and asset based lending and debt restructuring transactions. Scott regularly represents clients in significant mergers and acquisitions, both in the private and public sectors, including tax-free and taxable acquisitions, and consolidations and divisions.

Scott serves in leadership roles in a number of local organizations that actively promote corporate growth and entrepreneurship, including the Association for Corporate Growth, the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association, and the BioMedTech Committee of the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
